MedtecLIVE joins trendfairs: Proven team and strong industry focus
Trade fair for the European medical technology supply sector: the brand and event are moving to trendfairs | Christopher Boss and Silke Ludwig remain at the helm of MedtecLIVE, bringing their extensive industry network and trade fair expertise | Tailored further development and portfolio strengthening: benefits for the medical technology industry and trendfairs
The NürnbergMesse subsidiary trendfairs will in future organise MedtecLIVE in Stuttgart. Held every two years in Stuttgart, the trade fair for the European medical technology supply sector across the entire value chain most recently brought together more than 4,000 visitors and 267 exhibiting companies from 25 countries. By adding MedtecLIVE, trendfairs is strengthening its portfolio as a specialist trade fair organiser. The move to trendfairs also ensures personnel continuity: Christopher Boss, Managing Director of trendfairs, and Silke Ludwig, who will seamlessly continue the close dialogue with the medical technology industry in her new role, both contribute a strong network, a keen understanding of the sector’s specific requirements and many years of trade fair experience.
With Christopher Boss, who took over the management of trendfairs at the beginning of the year, the company is headed by a trade fair professional with excellent connections throughout the industry. Previously, as Managing Director of MedtecLIVE GmbH, Boss had already played a key role in the development of MedtecLIVE. He is joined by Silke Ludwig, who has continued in her role as Project Manager and will remain responsible for the event going forward. This means that the familiar faces behind the MedtecLIVE brand will remain the key contacts for both the medical technology industry and the companies represented at MedtecLIVE.
“We welcome the strong emphasis on continuity in the further development of MedtecLIVE. This is also reflected in the appointment of well-known and exceptionally well-connected personalities to key positions. With Silke Ludwig, who will continue to be responsible for MedtecLIVE at trendfairs, we are able to build seamlessly on the trusted collaboration we have enjoyed to date. We are also pleased that Christopher Boss, a recognised industry expert, will continue to develop MedtecLIVE’s strategic direction within the trendfairs portfolio and shape its future with new momentum,” said Niklas Kuczaty, Managing Director of VDMA HealthTech, the event’s honorary sponsor.
Perfect match: MedtecLIVE and trendfairs
Christopher Boss, who had already helped shape MedtecLIVE as Event Director during his time at NürnbergMesse, is looking forward to integrating the event into the trendfairs portfolio: “MedtecLIVE and trendfairs are a perfect match. Industry-focused concepts, outstanding customer service and maximum flexibility in further development are at the heart of what we provide for MedtecLIVE customers. At the same time, MedtecLIVE is a real asset for trendfairs as a highly specialised trade fair organiser. The fact that we have also been able to bring on board Silke Ludwig, a highly connected industry expert who is passionately committed to MedtecLIVE, is another stroke of good fortune for the sector. I look forward to working together for MedtecLIVE and the medical technology industry.”
Well-known MedtecLIVE contact: Project Manager Silke Ludwig
Silke Ludwig has been part of the MedtecLIVE team since 2019 and brings extensive experience in the conception, planning and organisation of MedtecLIVE, as well as a strong industry network. “MedtecLIVE is the platform for innovation, knowledge transfer and strong networks across the entire value chain of medical technology manufacturing. I look forward to further developing the event in close cooperation with customers, associations and networks, and to working with the trendfairs team,” said Ludwig.
